Campfire Tales is back!

Join us on Friday, Oct 10, and Saturday, Oct 11, at 6:30 pm for stories at Bays Mountain Park & Planetarium amphitheater!

From 5:30 - 6:15, we'll have the makings for s'mores around the fire rings.

Hannah Harvey is our storyteller, and you are in for a treat! Working with the Friends of Bays History Committee, Hannah has crafted stories that were born on the mountain and come to life around the campfire.

Dr. Hannah Harvey

... is an Appalachian storyteller whose energy is contagious. Because of Dr. Harvey’s focus on the power of storytelling to shape individual and cultural identity, her work has been featured on a variety of platforms, from The National Storytelling Festival to Yale University’s Psychiatric Grand Rounds, and in three courses with The Great Courses. As a performance ethnographer, Hannah develops oral histories into storytelling performances and works that highlight the true stories of Appalachian people.
